Eurasian integration is ready to response to the West for its sanctions policy and to move forward in solving the most sensitive issues for the Union participants. The equal rights in the gas market are meant in the first place, outlined the presidents at the summit of the EAEU.
They had to communicate via video link for the fourth time already. The pandemic leaves no choice. But there is good news: COVID is forcing many decisions in the field of health care. So, by the end of the year, there will be a unified plan on how to provide the common Eurasian market with strategic medicines, and not only from COVID. This also applies to the launch of new productions of drugs needed by the countries.
Vaccination is reaching more and more people. Russia will soon present the fourth COVID vaccine, Putin said. And Belarus is ready to present its first sample as well. All this will inevitably lead to the growth of collective immunity. And this is a reason to open the borders within the union, urged our President.
It is worth noting that the leaders discussed further movement towards a common energy market. This is a sensitive issue not only for Belarus. Our country always finds support here from the Armenian side. Discrimination in gas prices and transportation tariffs hurts the producers. Russia presented an action plan in April. The partners took a break to agree on a common approach. They agreed to finalize the positions at the next summit in the fall.
We have to unite in the face of unconcealed pressure from the West. Sanctions are not our choice, believes Alexander Lukashenko. But countermeasures will follow. And this will be a joint response of the Eurasian Union.
