Sudanese Embassy has been opened in Minsk today. Omar Hassan Ahmad al-Bashir, President of this African country, was also present at the ceremony.

The head of the Sudanese state expressed confidence that relations between our countries would reach a new level in the near future. He expressed special gratitude to the Belarusian leadership for the efforts made to open the Sudanese embassy in Minsk and expressed hope for the opening of a Belarusian representative office in Khartoum in the near future.

Several rounds of Belarusian-Sudanese negotiations took place in the Palace of Independence. A large package of documents has been signed, which will facilitate the work of governments and will promote contacts. Minsk and Khartoum are ready to expand cooperation in various fields - from gold mining and engineering to education. Sudan is rich in mineral resources, and our country is ready to provide its technologies and experience. According to the results, the sides agreed to create an engineering center in this African state. All obstacles were removed during the negotiations. The parties intend to build an agricultural complex for the production of milk and meat in Sudan. It is also planned to organize a greenhouse complex using Belarusian technologies for growing vegetables and seedlings in closed ground. Belarusian companies will also begin mining of gold in Sudan together with Sudanese experts. Belarus intends to implement all the agreements reached as soon as possible so that during the next high-level meeting it is possible to evaluate the work done and outline new plans.
