The meetings of the EU leadership and the Eastern Partnership countries was dedicated to the 10th anniversary year of the initiative. In 2009, it emerged as a program to strengthen Europe’s ties with six post-Soviet countries: Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan.
Belarus welcomes the positive nature of the processes in the relations of Minsk and Brussels. By the end of this year, new agreements on visa regime facilitation between Belarus and the EU will be signed. The main negotiations on this issue have been completed. And it is possible that a visa agreement can be concluded even before the Schengen price increases.
Belarus proposes to create a special “window” in the European Investment Bank for Eastern Partnership projects or a specialized initiative bank.
Belarus also advocates the elimination of artificial formalities when crossing the border with the EU.
