President met with Foreign Minister of Russia

The conversation about cooperation between Belarus and Russia was continued at the meeting of the President with the Foreign Minister of Russia. 

The visit was postponed, because of the epidemiological situation. Minsk and Moscow face a busy political agenda: the election campaign in our country and preparations for voting on constitutional amendments in Russia. The cooperation between the countries is very close in the economy, the military sphere, and in the foreign policy. 

A. Lukashenko: "We will overcome all this! It is in our power. We really had such an open, kind conversation without any hot contradictions".

Sergey Lavrov, Russian Foreign Minister: "A spark is needed for ignition to go forward."

Alexander Lukashenko agreed with the Russian Foreign Minister.

“We have enough problems. The pandemic caused many problems at the international level. The adoption of new amendments to the Constitution in Russia. We have a presidential election. I think we'll solve them. I count on my counterpart Vladimir Putin. We will overcome any problems in info-pandemic, economic, political, oil and gas pandemic.

The situation with people's treatment is stabilizing in Russia. A new drug that has been tested in the Russian Federation was offered to us and has shown its effectiveness. The President instructed the Ministry of Health to supply these drugs from Russia and try to use them,” - said the President of Belarus.

Sergey Lavrov, Russian Foreign Minister: "I am grateful for the reception and cooperation that our foreign ministries are carrying out on the basis of the plan approved by you and the President of Russia. Today we will see our achievements."
