Belarusian economy has managed to recover after the pandemic and is ready to resist a new blow, this time of sanctions. The EU and US politicians are competing, who will do the most harm to our domestic economy and people. Belarus has taken its turn in the sanctions history: over the last decades, the most "draconian measures" taken even against much weaker countries cut off from the allies failed to produce the desired effect. Neither will it work with Belarus, believes Roman Golovchenko, Prime Minister of our country.
Speaking in general about sanctions and pressure on Belarus, Prime Minister said: we are a well-established state, ready to protect our people and businesses. In this case, the strength of resistance to sanctions will be greater than the strength of pressure. However, there is still hope that hotheads in the EU and the USA will weigh the pros and cons of a new trade war and preserve, among other things, their business interests in Belarus and Eurasia.
