Adoption by Bundestag of Federal Republic of Germany of resolution on Belarus comes as open interference in internal affairs of our country

The adoption by the German Bundestag of the resolution on Belarus is an open interference in the internal affairs of our country. This is stated in the statement of the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic Natalia Kochanova and Chairperson of the House of Representatives Vladimir Andreichenko in connection with the resolution of the Bundestag on the situation in Belarus on November 4. According to the statement, the results of the presidential elections in Belarus do not require the approval of the foreign parliament, as well as the legal actions of the Belarusian authorities to ensure public order and security in the country. The Chairpersons of the chambers of the Belarusian parliament stressed that interaction between the countries should be based on mutual respect, constructive dialogue and consideration of the interests of the parties.

By its resolution, Bundestag cancels out the progress achieved in Belarusian-German relations and goes on about the opportunistic interests of individual politicians who are trying to earn political capital on the image of "fighters for democracy in Belarus", ignoring the harsh repressive actions of law enforcement agencies in their own country.

Complete bewilderment is caused by the support of German parliamentarians of extremist telegram channels that openly call for terrorist activities in Belarus.

As Natalia Kochanova summed up, Belarus expects that our German partners will have political wisdom and common sense to objectively assess the situation in Belarus and continue to build interaction based on mutual respect, constructive dialogue and consideration of the interests of the parties.
