President of Belarus to visit Azerbaijan

The main aspects of relations and strategic issues of bilateral cooperation are in the working schedule of Belarusian President. Tomorrow, the Head of State will pay a visit to Azerbaijan. The two-day programme includes a busy agenda of talks. The Presidents will hold two meetings. The informal meeting will take place as soon as the Belarusian leader arrives in Baku. The main part of the negotiations with Ilham Aliyev is scheduled for Wednesday. The meeting of the Presidents will be held in a narrow and extended formats with the participation of delegations members. The main attention is paid to the expansion of trade and economic cooperation and filling the cooperation with new content. Last year the trade turnover between our countries was $447 million. The task is to intensify our partnership. There is high potential in the energy sector, construction and machine-building. For instance, Belarus is ready to supply trains for Baku Subway. The official agenda of the forthcoming visit includes industrial cooperation, projects in food production and supplies, and processing of agricultural products. The Presidents will discuss cooperation in healthcare, science and technology, education and tourism. The heads of state will also exchange views on current international issues. Bilateral documents are expected to be signed following the talks.
