President: Belarus supports resumption of broad dialogue on peace

3 ноября 2020
Belarus will remain open to the world in spite of any challenges. And the priority of our diplomacy is to resume a broad dialogue on international security. And the priority of our diplomacy is to resume a broad dialogue on international security.
Alexander Lukashenko has received credentials from ambassadors from various continents. The event traditionally precedes the official start of diplomatic missions in our country. Foreign representatives start their work in a difficult period, both for the planet as a whole, which is still being tested by the pandemic, and for our country, which is going through a difficult time of defending its independence. The President has urged everyone to work in a trusting and constructive way.

Minsk - Tehran:  course on strengthening partnership

Saeed Yari, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Iran to Belarus: "Belarus and Iran have always been and remain close partners and friends. Our views coincide on many issues on the international agenda. We have experienced the pressure of sanctions. And we are sure that it makes us only stronger. Iran has always been against the external dictates of other countries. And in the current situation we are against interference in the internal affairs of your country. All issues should be solved only by ourselves, by our own efforts. And I am sure that Belarus will cope with any challenges."

Today the diplomat became one of seven messengers of their states who came to the Independence Palace.
Each of them has a letter of credence in his hands, addressed to Alexander Lukashenko. In fact, this is a diplomat's certificate, which will confirm his authority.
The course of cooperation for Minsk and Ankara is set by the leaders of the two countries. The agenda will remain to be filled with concrete projects.

Mustafa Ozcan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Belarus: "We are determined to present concrete proposals for the development of our cooperation in trade and economy in general as soon as possible. We need to develop the sphere of tourism. We will work closely with business of Belarus and Turkey: it is important to promote joint investment projects, to enter the markets of third countries together. Belarus has a well-developed industry. And this sector of your economy is of special interest for Turkey".

Belarus and the Vatican have special relations

The inter-confessional peace  is a value Belarus shares with an important ally - the Vatican. The Apostolic Nuncio Ante Jozic will now represent its interests in our country.
Belarus and the Vatican have a special status of relations, considering the weighty role of the smallest state, where, by the way, the Belarusian President has been twice. The return visit of the Pope to Belarus has not been removed from the agenda. And the countries are ready to enshrine all the legal nuances of the relationship in a special agreement - a concordat.
While addressing the diplomats, the President will assure that there are no closed topics for discussion. Belarus is ready for a dialogue with all partners.

Minsk and Tokyo: new projects

Hiroki Tokunaga is the first ambassador of the country of the Rising Sun in Minsk. Until last year, only the embassy's office worked here, the main office had a Moscow residence.
Perhaps, more than anybody else Minsk and Tokyo know that trouble sometimes knows no borders. The sad experience of man-made disasters has become the foundation for mutual assistance and partnership. Japan takes the Chernobyl tragedy of Belarus as its own. Belarus stretched out a helping hand when the whole world was shocked by the news of the accident at Japanese Fukushima. The countries are closely linked by humanitarian projects. But there are new horizons ahead.
The President will assure the new ambassador of Syria to our country of support for the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity. The representative of the key partner in Latin America, Venezuela, will aim to reach a new level of ties in trade and humanitarian sphere. Belarus also expects constructive contacts from DPRK.
And in general, Belarus is waiting for proposals and effective projects from each country. The willingness to provide conditions for their implementation is guaranteed by the President personally. It is noticeable that both official Minsk and ambassadors are determined to work for results.
