President Alexander Lukashenko met with Governor of the Russian region Oleg Kozhemyako. Economic cooperation between Belarus and promising partner in the Far East is getting stronger. The pandemic was not a hindrance, although the turnover decreased a little. But the January indicators are a chance not only to reach the previous level of interaction, but also to surpass it. A number of joint projects have been implemented. The parties have a desire to further build up not only mutual trade, but also to achieve results in new areas.
Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus: "We are determined to achieve meaningful results. Neither the pandemic, nor external attempts to undermine the political situation in our country or in your country can stop us. The events of recent months have shown that in the time of trials forced upon us from the outside, both countries can count on each other's support and assistance."
Among the key areas of cooperation are mechanical engineering and food supplies. The Russian region has an interest in the developments and technologies of the Belarusian construction industry. In particular, they desire to attract our specialists to the design and construction of housing, social facilities. Oleg Kozhemyako invited the Belarusian leader to personally visit Primorsky Krai in September. By the way, the Belarusian Trade House will open in Vladivostok this fall.
