Strengthening trade, economic cooperation and integration, cultural and humanitarian interaction, ensuring the international security of the CIS member states are the priorities that Belarus sets up as the chairman of the CIS. Our country led the union this year, taking over from Uzbekistan. The chairmanship was complicated with health situation and the ongoing pandemic in the world, and also the sanctions pressure from the West.

The recent actions in the territory of the Russian Federation speak of a planned, coordinated impact on our countries in order to destabilize the situation in them. This inflicts not only economic damage, which is what the sanctions are aimed at, but also, politically destabilizes the situation."
