More than 20 joint agreements signed at governmental summit in Minsk

Implementation of a free trade agreement was the key theme of the meeting of the CIS Heads of Government in Minsk. Progress in implementation of the agreement was discussed today by the Commonwealth Prime Ministers. In particular, Belarusian Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov says that he hopes for more active work on removing trade restrictions within the CIS. Draft agreement on free trade in services requires finalization. The Prime Minister says, common for all CIS member states approach to trade will be for the benefit of the economy of each state.

As a result of the governmental summit in Minsk, more than 20 cooperative agreements have been signed. The forecast of production and consumption of energy resources until 2030 has been approved. Agreements have been reached on cooperation in the automotive industry, development of the information society, humanitarian cooperation and other areas. In addition, the Heads of Governments chose the place and date of the next meeting: it will be held in Russia in May next year.
