The Parliaments of Belarus and Moldova should harmonise legislation regulating trade relations between the two countries, as announced at today’s meeting between the heads of the upper and lower houses of Belarusian Parliament and Moldovan President Nicolae Timofti at the Council of the Republic. According to Mikhail Myasnikovich, emphases should now be placed in the context of Chisinau’s integration with the EU, keeping in mind Eurasian Economic Union partners. This will help develop free trade zones.
The meeting also discussed cultural relations, joint scientific and technical projects, as well as an increase in trade turnover, which amounted to 420 million dollars last year.
