A branch of the Belarusian embassy in Russia will open in Krasnodar, BELTA reports.

The opening of a branch of the Embassy in Russia in Krasnodar until January 1, 2024 is stipulated by the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of Belarus No. 804 of November 20, 2023. "The Prime Minister has signed this decree. By agreement with the Governor, the selection of the building will now be carried out. So far it is planned that there will be one diplomat - the head of the embassy branch," said Dmitry Krutoy.

The Ministry of Finance is instructed to finance the costs of opening and maintenance of the embassy office in Krasnodar within the funds provided in the national budget for the opening and maintenance of diplomatic missions and consular offices of Belarus abroad.

In October, Dmitri Krutoy announced the imminent opening of consulates general of Belarus in three Russian cities - Kaliningrad, Vladivostok and Nizhny Novgorod. "But gradually we'll transfer all our offices to the status of consulate general, and the number of them will be doubled. The goal is for us to have 20 offices covering three or four Russian regions. This is the optimal scheme given the current level of our relations," he said at the time.
