Today Belarusian senators approved the ratification of two agreements on financing cross-border cooperation under the EU program. More than 200 million Euros will be allocated for the program. The first projects unites Poland, Belarus and Ukraine. It is planned to modernize the P16 highway, strengthen the potential of fire and rescue services in Belarus and Poland, and build additional automobile bridges. Within the framework of the second program, concerning Latvia, Lithuania and Belarus, it is planned to modernize checkpoints at the border, improve the telecommunications infrastructure. Consideration of budget bills will be the key task of the autumn session of the Parliament.
The Council of the Republic will consider more than 30 draft laws.
