The new US administration retains outdated and prejudiced stereotypes about Belarus, as stated by Belarus’ Foreign Ministry in regard to the extension of the US National Emergency towards Belarus. The document was adopted back in 2006 by George W. Bush.

According to the Foreign Ministry, the official Minsk cannot accept the US assertions that Belarus, which is doing its best to enhance regional and international security, can pose a threat to the United States. Besides, the Foreign Ministry stressed Belarus’ intention to continue a constructive dialogue with the US.
