Moscow sums up political year results

By Sergei Khamentovsky: The Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting in Moscow will bring together the Presidents of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia and Ukrainian Prime Minister Nikolai Azarov.


The discussion will focus primarily on the international aspect of integration. Armenia and Kyrgyzstan have declared their readiness to join the bloc. The Presidents of these countries were also invited to the Kremlin. India, Israel, New Zealand and Vietnam are interested in establishing a free trade area with the Customs Union.


On Wednesday, December 25, Alexander Lukashenko will attend a meeting of the Union State Supreme State Council in the Kremlin. The Presidents of Belarus and Russia will discuss such issues as trade and economic cooperation, the Union State budget for 2014, equal rights of citizens in the social sphere and preparation for the celebration of the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
