Moscow and Minsk to sign Union State programs in 2021

30 июня 2021

The harmonization of union integration programs of Belarus and Russia has entered the home stretch, said the Secretary of State of the Union State at a meeting of the Interparliamentary Commission of the Council of the Republic and the Federation Council on Interregional Cooperation. Dmitry Mezentsev stressed that the work is based on the unconditional consideration of national interests of the parties and is aimed to strengthen the provisions of the Treaty on the Creation of a Union State.

Dmitry Mezentsev, State Secretary of the Union State:

The governments are consistently working to improve the Union programs, which used to be called roadmaps. A huge layer of work is already behind us. Ahead is a fundamentally smaller task, but no less significant. Today, at this stage too, the work has entered the home stretch.

On June 30, the senators have an extensive agenda within the framework of the inter-parliamentary commission. This is the introduction of model laws, digital technologies, issues and prospects of cooperation between business entities in the context of import substitution, environment and allied programs.
