Minsk - New Delhi: in search of options for expanding partnership

The President met yesterday with Ambassador of India Sangeeta Bahadur, who is completing her diplomatic mission in Belarus.

Alexander Lukashenko thanked the diplomat for the work she had done in a short time in our country, and expressed hope that the desire to establish good and productive relations will be a priority for the next ambassador as well. It is important to join forces and take several steps towards closer cooperation.

India is Belarus' major partner in South Asia and the third largest economy in the world. In general, over two decades of cooperation, the trade turnover between our countries has grown 10 times. The basis of our export is potash fertilizers, trucks and special purpose products. Belarus is also widely represented in India in the market of oil products, agriculture and IT-technologies.
