Minsk is preparing to host sessions of the Supreme State Council of the Union State. Tomorrow, the leaders of Belarus and Russia will take part in the summit. The meeting is preceded by the talks between Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin. In a narrow format, the leaders will examine the current state and prospects of bilateral relations, the implementation of joint projects, and interaction in international organizations.

The agenda of the session of the Supreme State Council includes about a dozen issues – the results of economic cooperation over the past year, the implementation of the Union State budget 2016, and the programme of coordinated actions in foreign policy. As a result, a number of documents are expected to be signed.
