Belarusian Foreign Ministry expresses concern about statement of Institute of National Remembrance of Poland

The Foreign Ministry of Belarus expressed concern about the statement by the Institute of National Remembrance of Poland about the revision of the assessments of the actions of field commander Romuald Rice, the so-called Brown. This is an attempt to whitewash the criminal, who personally gave orders and participated in the murder of civilians in Belarusian villages in Podlasie.

From the statement of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus:

“Our particular concern was caused by the blatant cynicism of individual Polish “researchers”, whose conclusions form the basis of the statement of the Institute of National Remembrance of Poland. In particular, they state in his justification that Brown had the opportunity to burn not five, but much more Belarusian villages in the Bielsk Podlaski powiat".

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expects the Polish authorities to make public official comments on whether such an assessment of Brown’s actions is an official point of view. In order to give explanations, the Ambassador of Poland was called to the Foreign Ministry of Belarus.

The National Assembly of Belarus accepted the acquittal of the Polish war criminal with indignation.
