Now there is no agreement on appointment only with Armenia. The Collective Security Treaty Organization has been working without a manager for about six months. According to the priority rule, the next secretary general should be appointed from the Belarusian side. Stanislav Zas was nominated for the post. His candidacy was approved in December by the leaders of five states.

The Foreign Ministry of our country expressed the hope that the Armenian side will agree in the near future on the dates of the meeting with State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Stanislav Zas. The ministry is confident that the organization’s member states are interested in ensuring that this technical aspect of the CSTO’s activities does not affect the work of the organization and the bilateral relations between its members.
