This week the Belarusian-Russian theme got a special meaning against the background of the V Forum of the Regions of Belarus and Russia. Despite tight schedule, the leaders of the two countries maintain an active dialogue. At the forum in Mogilev, Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin will meet for the third time in less than two months. There are no unresolved painful moments in relations between the two countries.
During its existence, the Forum of the Regions of Belarus and Russia has already confirmed the status of the main event of the Union State. In Mogilev, 20 Russian governors from Moscow to Khanty-Mansiysk will meet. More than 70 cooperation documents are being prepared for signing. In monetary terms, this is an increase of half a billion dollars.
The President of Belarus will discuss the upcoming event with the Ambassador of Russia Mikhail Babich. Two weeks ago, while accepting a letter of credentials from the diplomat, the Belarusian leader expressed hope on new ambassador in the implementation of all agreements between Minsk and Moscow, taking into account the status of the special representative of the Russian President for the development of trade and economic cooperation with Belarus.
In general, Belarus for Russia is the fourth trading partner among all countries of the world, only China, Germany and the Netherlands are ahead. For the first six months, the total money goods turnover is already more than 23 billion dollars.
Belarus has close contacts with 80 out of 85 regions of Russia. Since the beginning of the year, more than 70 delegations from different cities of the neighboring country have visited our country. But the most important thing is that more than 8 thousand enterprises of the two countries are bound by production cooperation. This is a mutual supply of raw materials and components.
