Foreign trade is task number one. Such an accent was said today by the President to the Belarusian diplomats who represent the interests of our country abroad. Alexander Lukashenko met with the heads of the diplomatic missions in person at the Palace of Independence. The events of this format are held periodically at the highest level. Europe, Asia, Africa, America - it is time to set diplomatic priorities beneficial for our country, taking into account several key aspects. Belarus is an open country and has felt the consequences of the global crisis. Plus, the political factor: the color blitzkrieg of 2020 supervised by external competitors. Sanctions should not affect the development of our country, despite all the difficulties. The key is to work actively in those markets which are ready to cooperate on an equal and respectful basis. The mechanisms of international organizations must also be used more actively to protect domestic enterprises.

Special attention should be paid to human resources. Belarus needs diplomats, who are not afraid of defending the honor of the country. The President instructed to provide a realistic assessment of the ambassadors' contribution to the development of relations with other countries and, if necessary, to offer staffing solutions.

Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus: "Today we need practical diplomats, experts in their field, patriots who are not afraid of making claims and defending the honor of their country. You are fighters today, but without weapons. Another important mission of diplomats is the preservation of historical truth. Our representatives also work in the countries that are actively rewriting history. The voice of Belarus should be heard by all in the information chaos of our time. The whole world has to be told the terrible truth about the horrors of the war, the genocide of the Belarusian people, the Polish occupation during the interwar period and other unflattering facts that we were too shy to present because of our decency. It is time to unmask all occupiers and collaborators. Unlike them, we are the descendants of the great victors, who returned peace to the peoples of Europe, who saved more than one generation from destruction."

The countries and peoples of Europe should thank us for what the previous generation has done, but not suffocate us with sanctions. The President stressed that the employees of the Belarusian foreign missions should tell this truth to people in the countries of their accreditation every day, as well as explain it to the media and post it in social networks.

Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus: "We have to beat the enemy with his own weapon. But we have the truth and the valor of our ancestors on our side."

The President has characterized the situation in the modern world with one succinct word - "war". It has not yet taken the shape of a hot conflict. It is being waged in offices, the media, social networks, and the economy. A vivid example is the sanctions policy against Belarus. And the main task in such conditions, as at the front, is to withstand and win.
