Belarus calls for deepening ties with Kazakhstan

Belarus stands for further all-round deepening of ties with Kazakhstan, both on a bilateral basis and in an integrated format.

This was discussed today at a meeting of the head of the Presidential Administration of Belarus Natalia Kochanova with the Secretary of State of Kazakhstan. The parties discussed the state and prospects of development of bilateral relations.

A special impetus to the relations was given by the visit of the Belarusian leader in June to Astana and his participation in the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, as well as special exhibition EXPO-2017. Also, Belarus and Kazakhstan celebrate the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations. The two countries have dozens of joint projects from engineering to science and culture.

State Secretary of Kazakhstan Gulshara Abdykalikova to take part in inauguration ceremony of Slavic Bazaar in Vitebsk Festival. The parties also discussed the possibility of future personal meetings at international events. In particular, the Secretary of the State of Kazakhstan invited Natalia Kochanova to take part in the international forum Women for Energy of the Future, which will open on August 31 in Astana within the framework of EXPO-2017.
