Results of negotiations in Almaty in interview with Roman Golovchenko, head of Belarusian government

Also, the digital economy is one of the priorities of our five-year social and economic development program. The Eurasian Five countries have agreed on positions at the Intergovernmental Council in Almaty. Each has enterprises with products that are in demand on the EAEU market and beyond. Today, to be a strong competitor, it is necessary to combine technology and production capacity, observing the parity of interests. The work of the association will be aimed at this.

After all, the outside world is changing, protectionism is increasing, especially in Western markets. Therefore, Belarus urges its EAEU partners to conclude new trade agreements and protect their rights in relations with third countries exactly as a union. The Eurasian Economic Commission will be in charge of this work, and the results will be presented at the next meeting of the association on the level of prime ministers in April. Head of the Belarusian government Roman Golovchenko summarized the results of the negotiations in Almaty in an interview immediately after the meetings.
