Belarus and Indonesia to expand cooperation in all areas

According to Ambassador of Indonesia Djuahari Oratmangun, Jakarta regards the relations with Belarus as one of the strategic directions. As an ASEAN member, Indonesia will promote Belarus' interests in Southeast Asian markets, representing our potash industry in particular.

Djuahari Oratmangun, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to Belarus and Russia: Indonesia is planning to increase purchase of potash fertilizers. Other ASEAN member states are ready to join us this year.

An impetus to the relations between Belarus and Indonesia was given by Alexander Lukashenko 's visit to Jakarta in March, which resulted in 7 agreements on cooperation in the economic, military and other spheres.

Valentin Rybakov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus: We have huge potential in the bilateral relations, especially in trade and economy. Naturally, we will do everything possible to fully exploit this potential.

Belarus and Indonesia also interact within such international organizations as the United Nations.
