By Alesya Vysotskaya: The political leaders were personally greeted by Alexander Lukashenko. In general, it should be noted that the Minsk summits have already been called key events in the integration movement. Belarus has offered more than 70 different initiatives as part of its CIS presidency this year. All of them are aimed at improving the people's well-being and deal with economic partnership, security, expansion of inter-regional cooperation and cultural dialogue. The initiatives were supported by all the participating countries.
The summit's agenda contains 14 issues ranging from humanitarian to economic and security cooperation. It is planned to adopt a program on combating terrorism, drug and human trafficking. The Heads of State will also be offered to sign an agreement on the formation of the Interstate Council for Anti-Corruption. The countries are likely to join their efforts in fighting crimes in the IT sphere. It has also been proposed to declare 2015 Year of the Veterans; 2014 can become Year of Tourism in the CIS.
