Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia ressuly in number of commercial contracts in petrochemistry and industry

The Forum of Belarusian-Russian Regions continues its work. The participants actively discuss the urgent issues of cooperation in all areas and the role of regions in the process of the Belarusian-Russian partnership. The number of agreements is also expanding - a number of commercial contracts in the petrochemical and industrial spheres were signed. The parties also agreed to establish a joint Belarusian-Russian business council. The council is expected to consist of the leading enterprises from various economic sectors. Today, there will be a plenary session on scientific and technical cooperation between Belarus and Russia in the era of digitalization with participation of heads of ministries, agencies and business circles. Undoubtedly, the Forum of Regions is the major platform for signing contracts. More than 300 agreements have been signed in six years. The total sum is over 2 billion dollars. The dynamics of the figures since the first forum speaks for itself. In 2015 the amount of contracts was more than 230 million dollars and in 2020 more than 700 million dollars. The result of this year's Forum should be the signing of more than 40 agreements worth $800 million. The main areas: petrochemicals, mechanical engineering, energy, construction, transport, and agriculture.
