Early voting in local elections continues in Belarus. Today the Chairman of the Central Election Commission has made a choice.

Speaking about the chosen candidate, Lidia Yermoshina notes that she had carefully examined the personality of everyone, and voted for the one who threw a leaflet in her mailbox as a sign that the person was seriously working on the campaign. At the end of voting, Lydia Yermoshina traditionally talked with journalists. So, the chairman of the Central Election Commission considers it a normal situation when students and people in labor collectives are called to vote. However, she notes that this should happen without threats and imposing of certain candidates.

Over two days of early voting more than 11 percent of voters took part in the elections. The residents of the capital, Mogilev, Vitebsk and Minsk regions are the most active voters. Everyone has the possibility to vote early till February 17. The campaign ends on Sunday.
