According to the changes made by Russia to the rules of the border regime, no passage or presentation of any other documents for entry and stay in the border zone will be required, said the head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Vladimir Makei.
Vladimir Makei, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus:
"I am confident that the current border control at the external border of the Union State is optimal and sufficient. Dialogue on this topic should continue."
Vladimir Makei also said that now Belarus is holding an active dialogue with its Russian counterparts on the draft agreement on mutual recognition of visas and other issues related to the entry of foreign citizens into the territory of the countries participating in the Union State. The text of the agreement provides for the settlement of the issues of crossing the Belarusian-Russian border by third-country nationals. It is expected that the document will be signed in the near future.
