The Belarusian delegation will be headed at the Eastern Partnership summit on November 24 in Brussels by Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei. This was stated by the deputy head of the information department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of our country. Andrei Shuplyak notes, "The Belarusian side has gratefully received the invitation to attend the summit at the level of the Head of State, which reflects the progress in relations between Belarus and the EU. In diplomatic practice, a high-level visit (as a rule) is the culmination of the mutual efforts of the sides to develop cooperation, signifying the achievement of profound systemic results important for the basis of bilateral interaction between the relevant subjects of international relations."
The diplomat emphasizes that negotiations leading to the conclusion of a basic agreement on partnership and cooperation should be included in the agenda of the Belarusian-European relations.
The state of relations between Belarus and the European Union at the current stage, the prospects for their development, as well as the participation of the delegation of our country in the Eastern Partnership summit, were discussed today in Minsk by Vladimir Makei and head of the EU Delegation in Belarus Andrea Victorin.
