Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei has left for Spain to hold talks at the invitation of Spain’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Alfonso Dastis Quecedo. The parties will discuss a wide range of issues.
Dmitry Mironchik, Head of the Information Department and Press Secretary of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry: “The central event of the visit will be negotiations between the Foreign Ministers of Belarus and Spain to discuss a wide range of issues related to bilateral and multilateral agenda, cooperation within international organizations and prospects for further Belarus-EU dialogue development. Besides, it is planned to hold a number of meetings with representatives of Spain’s legislative and executive authorities and business circles, as well as sign bilateral agreements aimed at enhancing Belarus-Spain cooperation”.
Vladimir Makei is scheduled to attend a series of events, including the opening of the third Belarusian-Spanish business forum, a presentation of a collection of Maxim Bogdanovich’s works translated into Spanish and a meeting with Belarusian diaspora representatives.
