At the meeting with the CIS Ministers of Foreign Affairs, the President of Belarus stated that Belarus supports the development of principles of cooperation in Europe that will be acceptable for everyone and is ready at the political and operational level to promote their acceptance.

The first practical step will be an expert conference "Eastern Europe: Searching for Security for All" that is scheduled to take place in Minsk this May. Also, by late 2918, Belarus will host the OSCE Anti-Terrorist Conference and the Munich Security Conference.

These formats of dialogue fully fit into the large-scale peace initiative of the Belarusian leader under the provisional name Helsinki-2. The first Helsinki Process allowed Europe and the world to quickly and painlessly put an end to the Cold War at the end of the 20th century. Today, politicians are expecting the same result, and the official Minsk is ready to become a platform and a new member of the denouement.

Belarus also offered its initiatives in the format of the Commonwealth of Independent States. In particular, these are initiative regarding the current "power bloc". Thus, by 2025, the united system of air and space defence of the Commonwealth should be created, as stated the Belarusian President. Belarus also responded to the resonant cases related to the possible use of weapons of mass destruction in Europe and Africa. By late 2018, the official Minsk intends to hold a regional meeting on the implementation of the Security Council Resolution of the United Nations on the prevention of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
