Belarus to expand its presence in Lebanon as part of peacekeeping mission

Belarus will expand its presence in Lebanon in the framework of the peacekeeping mission on the decision of the Italian side. This statement was made by First Deputy Minister of Defense Oleg Belokonev at a meeting with military attaches. Now there are five Belarusian specialists in this Middle Eastern country: one staff officer and four medical specialists. According to the decision of the Head of State, Belarus is ready to participate in peacekeeping missions under the auspices of the United Nations.
