Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei said this today at a video conference of the foreign ministers of the EU member states and Eastern Partnership member states.
Vladimir Makei, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus: "For Belarus, one of the tangible results of the Eastern Partnership over the past decade is the agreement on visa facilitation and readmission that will enter into force on July 1. Now we count on productive negotiations with the EU on the customs agreement and the start of negotiations between Belarus and the EU as the next logical steps."
Vladimir Makei urged to support Belarus' proposal to create a regional IT school of "Eastern Partnership" in Minsk and confirmed the commitment of the Belarusian side to the vision of the initiative as a non-confrontational project aimed at creating a zone of peace, stability and prosperity in the region.
