Belarus hopes for an unbiased and objective assessment of the forthcoming election campaign, as well as for the constructive dialogue with the OSCE parliamentary group after the elections, as stated by Chairman of the House of Representatives Vladimir Andreichenko at today’s meeting with special coordinator of the OSCE short-term observer mission for the parliamentary elections in Belarus Kent Harstedt. Representatives of the international organisation are expected to arrive in Belarus a few days before the elections. The mission is comprised from 70 to 100 members.

Also today, the parties have discussed holding next year's regular session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Minsk for the first time.

Over 300 international observers and about 4,000 national experts have received accreditation to observe the parliamentary elections. In addition to the OSCE representatives, the elections will be monitored by representatives of the CIS, CSTO, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia, as well as the Council of Europe.
