Belarus can play an active part in the renewal of the wide-scale dialogue between the East and the West. This was announced today by Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives Boleslav Pirshtuk at a meeting with the Chair of the European Parliament’s Delegation for relations with Belarus – Bogdan Zdrojewski.
As a reliable partner, Belarus is interested in developing relations with the European Union, especially in matters of politics, energy and environmental stability, as well as in cooperation in combating crime and illegal migration. Bogdan Zdrojewski noted that in order to achieve constructive dialogue it is necessary to continue improving relations between Belarus and European institutions. He recalled the positive dynamics in the development of the Bologna Process, phytosanitary control, as well as progress in the joint monitoring of the atmospheric air quality and in the prevention of emergencies.
