Belarus and Tajikistan update road map of cooperation

During the President’s visit to Tajikistan, the parties updated the roadmap of cooperation and announced their intention to bring the relations to the level of strategic partnership.

Alexander Lukashenko and Emomali Rahmon have long-standing friendly relations. The program of the visit includes more than 10 events.

One of the priorities is to enter the market of third countries with joint products. This message was delivered by the participants of the international business forum in Dushanbe. Another challenge is to move from simple trade to industrial cooperation. There are 15 Belarusian brands in Tajikistan including MTZ, MAZ, Amkodor, BelAZ, Gomselmash. The Belarusian brands in Tajikistan are well-known.

Experts note the success of Tajikistan in many areas. The economy is recovering, the unemployment rate has significantly decreased. The country knows the value of peace, as well as Belarus. At the beginning of the noughties, the Belarusian leader was the first of the CIS heads of state to visit Tajikistan after the civil war. Today, the streets of the city are decorated with thousands of roses everywhere. This flower in many countries is considered a symbol of change.

Belarus has repeatedly provided humanitarian assistance to Tajikistan during natural disasters. Our country has become the second home for about a thousand and a half Tajiks.
