The President has significantly updated the diplomatic corps. It will be represented by a solid and authoritative pool of both diplomats and managers. They are entrusted with the task of promoting our interests abroad. Belarus has its own Ambassador in the United States now. Strong and constructive relations with Washington are important for Minsk. And diplomatic assistance is aimed at strengthening ties between our countries. It is also the duty of diplomats to promote the most profitable export positions of our country.
Alexander Lukashenko has already announced that new heads will appear in the foreign institutions when appointing the government. Candidates for great diplomacy were considered at that time.
The President has appointed Ambassadors to a number of European countries. The new agents of Belarusian interests will be sent to the UK, Austria and the Netherlands. The new Ambassador to the Netherlands, Andrey Yevdochenko (former first Deputy Foreign Minister) will have to strengthen the bilateral relations between Minsk and Amsterdam.
Belarus has a new Ambassador to the US after 12 years. The countries have been able to make many steps towards each other. The attitude for normalization of relations between official Minsk and Washington is mutual. The new head of the diplomatic mission, Oleg Kravchenko, has a good start.
Belarus' new Ambassador to the US plans to leave for Washington in August. The Ambassador is sure that we are not allies on every "field" (we are talking about military-political blocs), but that is why the dialogue is necessary.
Another Deputy foreign Minister Andrei Dapkiyunas will go to the Austrian capital and will also be an Ambassador to Slovenia. Minsk and Vienna have many points of contact: a high degree of trust in politics, good dynamics in trade. The efforts of diplomats will only strengthen what has been done! Former Minister of Finance Maxim Yermolovich will go to London. Pavel Utyupin was appointed a new Ambassador to Kazakhstan.
