Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin hold one-on-one talks

The President of Belarus is on a working visit to Sochi. Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin are holding talks in the one-on-one format. The meeting is being held without the presence of journalists. The current business trip was preceded by intensive preparation. The heads of state spoke on the phone 6 times during August. The Russian Prime Minister was welcomed in Minsk in early September, and the head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry came to Moscow. The agenda includes bilateral cooperation and integration issues of the Union State. Special attention will be paid to the implementation of large joint projects in the trade, economic, energy, cultural and humanitarian sectors. The leaders of the countries will discuss international problems, the situation in the region, joint response to emerging challenges.
