Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin will hold talks in St. Petersburg today. The leaders are expected to discuss the urgent agenda of the Belarusian-Russian relations. This includes plans for the next 12 months, and integration processes.
In November, Minsk and Moscow approved 28 joint programs. As a whole, the year 2021 was full of meetings and dialogues for presidents of Belarus and Russia: the day before there was an informal summit of the CIS leaders, and on December, 25 the leaders had a telephone conversation.
Alexander Lukashenko's previous visit to Russia was held on September 9. According to experts, such intensity of the meetings indicates a clear and verified position of the two countries and understanding of the direction in which Belarus and Russia should develop their relations.
