Our collective security. CSTO summit held in Tajik capital

16 сентября 2021

The tension in Afghanistan, the threat at the organization's borders, migration issues and even biological topics did not escape the attention of the heads of state. Belarus' position on global security and the situation in the world was presented at the summit by our President. As Alexander Lukashenko said, the situation on the planet is exacerbated at an enormous pace. We will not be able to wait until it becomes calmer. We must act as one wedge. After all, the CSTO is a defense structure. It must be strengthened. About 10 documents were signed on September 15. Today, they passed a declaration on joint security architecture for the whole of Eurasia. The summit venue was a good place for bilateral contacts - the Belarusian leader held a series of talks with his counterparts - with the Prime Minister of Pakistan and the President of Iran.
