The time has come for more serious tasks, the CIS needs a breakthrough. It is important to be distinguished on the world stage. The chairmanship of Belarus in the CIS is taking place under really difficult conditions. The ongoing pandemic, and sanctions pressure from the West, and attempts to politically destabilize the situation in the region contribute to the complicated situation. Only together can we resist.

Belarus successfully chairs the CIS. The first assessments for the work done were made today. The results are scheduled to be summed up in mid-October at the Summit in Minsk. The future of the organization at the Presidential level is planned to be discussed on October 15. The agenda for the upcoming meeting is already being worked out, according to Sergei Lebedev. And he expressed the hope that no COVID or other circumstances would prevent the heads of state from meeting in person and talking frankly about pressing problems.
