The results of Sochi negotiations were announced Tuesday at the Palace of Independence.

Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin agreed that the supply of Russian hydrocarbons will be carried out as planned. The politicians don't promise any problems with the access to natural gas, now they are negotiating the price. Russia has confirmed that in June it plans to send the second credit tranche amounting to $500 million to Belarus. The parties discussed new flights to Belavia: it will fly to Sochi, Krasnodar Krai and Kazan. There will be more flights to Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus: You know my position: Belavia has nothing to do with the so-called incident that happened. The company that did not land, did not lift the plane, has nothing to do with it at all. This shows that the West made a blatant error by associating this company with the incident. The main thing is to give job to our pilots and make use of those planes, which we purchased with such difficulty in difficult times. And I promised Belavia not to leave it in trouble. It is our honor to support it in every way. So, the Minister of Foreign Affairs,  the Minister of Transportation must implement our agreements as soon as possible, so that the Belavia staff (nearly 2,000 people) could have jobs and was sure that the state would not leave them. They have suffered for nothing. The Presidents also raised the topics of recent days: the opposition to sanctions, as well as the detention of Roman Protasevich and Sofia Sapega. Despite the Russian citizenship of the latter, the investigation of both detainees on the Ryanair flight will be held in our country. As for the international agenda, the Presidents are absolutely unanimous in their assessment of the situation: Belarus and Russia are determined to resist the attacks from the outside together.
