The secondary school No.4 in Cherven together with regular classes, teach students environmental disciplines. Within the framework of the republican project "Green School", they learn to take care of nature here.

Water can become a magnifying glass, and an egg in the water can show whether it is fresh or salty. The main thing is that they pay attention: there are not so many drinking reserves on Earth, it is important to save water resources.

During school breaks, participants in the water-saving elective patrol the dining room, the area next to the washstands, make sure that all taps are closed so that an extra drop of water does not fall unnecessarily. They warn violators of the water regime, explain the rules for using water to first graders.

This group of students monitors energy use. All the kids are organizing an energy patrol.

Middle school students make sure of lights necessity and control the temperature conditions in the classrooms. According to sanitary standards, the school premises should be between 18 and 24 ℃.

Water and energy saving, as well as control over the quality of the atmosphere and air, acquaintance with biodiversity, are part of a large educational program of Belarus on the creation and operation of "Green Schools". Such projects are conceived as ecological. They will allow young people to study nature more widely and use its wealth without causing harm.

Almost 400 students and 30 teachers of the 4th school in Cherven are involved in the "Green School" project. Parents of schoolchildren also support useful initiatives. It turns out not just ecological, but family education, which unites generations with one important initiative.

One of the main directions of the eco-project is the procurement of recyclable materials. Much waste paper and scrap metal are collected here.

The figures are impressive: last year, enthusiasts from Cherven Green School collected 1 800 kilograms of waste paper, almost 1 300 kilograms of broken glass, and 820 kilograms of plastic.

Green hobbies are educational, interesting, really useful and encourage more and more nature lovers and those who think about the future of the planet. However, the republican project "Green School" is quickly integrating into the international one. The Belarusians have such ambitious plans.
