President addresses Belarusian people and Parliament

From issues of foreign policy and the world economy against the backdrop of a pandemic to problems of  wages, pensions, education and the future of a sovereign country were raised by the President  as he addressed the Belarusian people and the Parliament.

The Head of State began with the problems brought to the world by the virus pandemic, and it is not just about health. This is also trade, political, information confrontation. Belarus stands for predictable and multi-vector policy.

Separate words of gratitude once again were pronounced to the Belarusian doctors, who selflessly fought for every life. Without chaos and panic, we've coped with the difficult challenge. The medical system will continue to be strengthened in the light of new realities.

The epidemic has given our exporters a chance - it is important not to miss this chance. We'll work well, we'll double salaries, support pensions at a decent level. Priorities for the five-year period also include local roads, housing and regions.

Special attention is paid to the youth. The future of Belarus is in their hands, they have power to make the country competitive and successful in various fields. The foundation is laid, and it is easier to build a country on such a base.

The President's message was clear and understandable - go to the polling station, but not to the riots. Do not become a tool in the hands of the instigators of color revolutions.  Criticize and argue exclusively within the law. The President has no doubts that the Belarusians can defend themselves.

The path that our country has made for a quarter of a century has shown that the priorities have been set correctly. Belarus intends to continue moving forward on its route.
