Language of diplomacy is our everything - Minsk adheres to peaceful conflicts resolution

Belarus' position is consistent. Minsk has always been a supporter of the peaceful settlement of the conflict between Yerevan and Baku. The language of diplomacy is our everything.

Yuri Ambrazevich, Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus:

“The experts note that Belarus (no matter how difficult it is) always sounds sensible initiatives and concrete proposals for the solution of the conflicts. Official Minsk remains a donor of security in the region, and Alexander Lukashenko is the main mediator in case of arising tensions.”

Andrei Starikov, political analyst, head of the Baltnews agency:

“Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko is the main peacemaker in the post-Soviet space. Belarus' foreign policy positioning and goals are always friendly relations with neighbors, conflict-free relations in the region, trade, and strengthening of integration ties. In Belarus' foreign policy, as well as in its domestic one, the specificity of the Belarusian political system is the role of the person, the role of the head of state, the role of Lukashenko. It is colossal.”

Vadim Yelfimov, political analyst:

“The intensity of the foreign policy of the Republic of Belarus is precisely aimed at maintaining peace, security, stability, including within the CSTO countries. If we remember, our President was the first initiator of the inclusion of not only external threats, but also internal ones into the scope of the Collective Security Organization, because today the most widespread form of struggle and aggression is quasi-war, when some states are undermined from within. And this foresighted policy of our President today finds concrete confirmation, including in the CSTO countries.”

Andrei Krivosheev, Chairman of the Board of the Belarusian Union of Journalists:

“Belarus has always advocated a treaty, Belarus as a founding country of the United Nations has always advocated the implementation of the UN Charter and all those numerous agreements from which, unfortunately, our militarized neighbors, I mean the Baltic States, Poland and Ukraine, long ago withdrew or forgot that they are obliged to implement them.”
