Catholics celebrate Exaltation of Holy Cross

14 сентября 2022
Roman Catholics celebrate the Exaltation of Holy Cross on September 14. This holiday is dedicated to the memory of discovering the real cross, on which Jesus Christ was crucified, by the Helena and raising it for general celebration and worship. The spiritual significance of the Feast of the Exaltation lies in the veneration of the cross, which is the symbol of the infinite love of God to the sinners, the great sacrifice, as well as the symbol of Christ's victory over death. By worshipping the cross, believers also worship the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ.
