Those who make our life comfortable and safe by their labor were honored today at the Palace of Independence. These are Belarusians who are devoted to their work with all their hearts. Almost four dozen people received honorary titles, orders and shoulder straps today. Among the awardees there are agricultural workers, directors of enterprises, the military, athletes and representatives of the prosecutor's office. These are people who, by their persistent, creative work, ensure the well-being of the entire state. And they work for the image of Belarus.

Most of those present in the hall are the workers of the village. They certainly don't work for rewards. Such people are loyal to the country, family and their profession. Agriculture is an open-air workshop, where even a small step forward in threshing, milk yield and weight gain is always the result of the efforts of hundreds of thousands of rural workers and workers in other sectors of the economy, stressed Alexander Lukashenko.

А. Lukashenko: We are nothing without our people, without those who work every day.

We are nothing without our people, without those who work every day in fields, farms, factories, plants, who defend the borders of our Fatherland, `protect the sovereignty and independence of our country. The President noted that some describe the current situation in Belarus as "a difficult time". "But it has never been simple for us, especially for peasants," said Alexander Lukashenko. They are in the open air. It is always difficult, but any difficulties and problems are opportunities. If it is hard, you have to endure it, go this way correctly and learn lessons.

А. Lukashenko: let us preserve our country

The head of the state once again thanked labor collectives, workers of different branches for their contribution to the welfare and independence in the country. "We are able to manage our country ourselves and create normal conditions not only for you and me, but also for our children and grandchildren. They will have no other land - remember that. I always say: maybe we do not live rich, but, as the elders say, Belarusians have never lived like this before. So let's keep our country, and all our wealth will depend only on us. The well-being and prosperity of our homeland will depend only on us," the President stressed.
