Deputy Prime Minister A. Subbotin assesses pace of harvesting in Belarus

The main goal for the agro-industrial complex for 5 years, according to the program of socio-economic development, is to increase its competitiveness while preserving the food security of Belarus. The main efficiency criterion is the growth of profit per unit area. It is planned to increase the grain production up to 10 million tons and its yield up to 40 centners per hectare. The big role is given to science. It is the seeds' resistance to our changeable climate that matters. This is shown by the current harvest.
